PUNTA CANA, Dominican Republic. — A 5.7-magnitude earthquake was reported overnight near the Dominican Republic.
According to the United States Geological Survey, the earthquake struck about 27 miles away from Punta Cana.
The USGS said those in The Bahamas, Haiti, Puerto Rico, and the Turks and Caicos Islands may have also felt shocks from the earthquake.
There was no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
