Miami Heat to host community vaccination event at American Airlines Arena

Miami-Dade to see nice boost in annual revenue from new naming rights for American Airlines Arena

MIAMI – The Miami Heat organization is doing its part in the efforts to get COVID-19 vaccines in the arms of South Floridians.

The Heat will host a community vaccination event at American Airlines Arena on Thursday, April 29.

It will start at 11 a.m. and run until 4 p.m.

The event is for Florida residents ages 16 and up. Those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

Free parking will be available in the P2 Parking Garage. Make sure to bring your packing ticket with you for validation.

According to a release from the Heat, the event is being facilitated by Walmart pharmacists.

There will be 400 doses of the Pfizer vaccine available.

All participants will be required to complete COVID-19 vaccine screening and consent forms.

Anyone interested in getting a shot must schedule an appointment by calling 1-833-886-0023 and selecting Option 4 (for “all other locations”) and specify “the Miami Heat event.”

All appointments must be scheduled by 10 p.m. on Wednesday, April 28.
