SUNRISE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers are now headed to the Stanley Cup Final for the third straight year, and the team’s fans are still celebrating Thursday after Wednesday night’s big win!
On Wednesday night, fans hit the streets outside of La Carreta restaurant in Westchester, cheering and giving high fives to cars passing by, and on Thursday, they were picking up gear at the Amerant Bank Arena.
“I am actually working right now, so I’m not supposed to be here, and my dad sent me in for a shirt for him today because, like I said, territory member, born and raised in South Florida,” Analise Sherman said.
“We kind of live and die with them, so it’s kind of stupid if you think about it, but you are in a good mood if they win and in a bad mood if they don’t, but I kind of bleed with them,” another fan, Jay Wasserman, said.
The die-hard fans rooted wholeheartedly for the Panthers every step of the way and are now holding onto hope of securing the Stanley Cup for a second time in a row.
“Coming back from the last game when we lost, and this game we proved ourselves – and yeah, we turnt up!” Justin Bodford said.
“It was a great game. They came out and played with their hearts and let’s go Panthers!” one fan said.
Panthers fans are now adding the newest Eastern Conference championship T-shirt to their growing collection! Inside the Iceplex store, there is something for everyone to show off and be proud of our winning team.
“I’m looking forward to the Finals. It’s going to probably be a rematch -- it’s going to be a tough road,” Wasserman said.
While it’ll be a tough road, fans can’t wait to be there all along and hopefully keep the Cup here!
“I’m super excited! Let’s do it! We are going to be Stanley Cup Champions all over again! Let’s do it baby, I’m so excited!” one fan said.
“Just no raining this year for the parade, please, and no lightning, OK? Thank you!” Sherman joked.
