MIAMI – Davion Mitchell fit in like a glove with Miami Heat culture since he was traded to the team in February.
The guard signed a 2-year contract extension with Miami on Monday.
On Tuesday, Mitchell was already acting as an ambassador for the team.
The guard visited Jr. Heat Camp in Miami and Cooper City.
He took questions from campers, showed them drills, signed autographs, and took pictures.
Mitchell also spoke with reporters about his decision to stay with the Heat.
Mitchell said, “Anything’s possible. I’m just excited to be back here with this group of guys, this coaching staff, this organization, it’s completely different than every place I’ve been in. They take winning seriously, and I respect that so I’m excited to be here.”
