MIAMI — The Miami Heat released their 2025-2026 regular season schedule on Thursday.
They’ll open the season on the road against the Orlando Magic on Oct. 22
Miami’s home opener is set for Oct. 26 against the New York Knicks at the Kaseya Center.
This year marks the Heat’s 38th regular season, and they’re aiming to make history by reaching the playoffs for a seventh straight year — which would set a new franchise record.
After being swept in the first round by the Cleveland Cavaliers last season, Miami is looking for a stronger postseason run.
Still, they made headlines by becoming the first No. 10 seed to reach the playoffs under the NBA’s current play-in format.
Of the 80 games currently scheduled, 38 will be played on weekends, with 17 of those at home. Notable matchups at the Kaseya Center include a Jan. 17 clash against the reigning champion Oklahoma City Thunder, a March 19 matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers and the regular season finale versus the Atlanta Hawks on April 12.
The Heat will also take part in the NBA’s in-season tournament, known as the NBA Cup, competing in East Group C. Group play includes home games against Charlotte and Milwaukee and road games at Chicago and New York. The tournament runs from Nov. 7 to Nov. 26.
The Heat also announced that they will open the preseason against the Magic in Puerto Rico.
