“Rain or shine, it’s all about the party, let’s go!” one fan said, setting the tone for the tailgate.

From grills to drinks to music and laughter, fans were embracing the full Miami tailgating experience despite wet conditions.

“What makes tailgating here so special?” asked Local 10’s Brett Knese.

“We’re like a family in here,” a fan replied.

Excitement for the upcoming season was high, with many fans hoping quarterback Tua Tagovailoa stays healthy.

“This is our year, man. This is our year,” another fan said.

“I believe in my man. He’s not gonna get injured, I swear. Nothing’s going to happen. He’s going to score so many touchdowns, you wouldn’t even believe it,” another added.

When asked if they were worried about Tagovailoa, fans acknowledged the stakes.

“We’re always worried about Tua. If he’s healthy, we win. If he’s not, we lose.”
