MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — With the season opener just days away, Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and wide receiver Tyreek Hill are making it clear they are on the same page after questions surfaced about their relationship earlier this offseason.
The Dolphins returned to the practice field Wednesday in Miami Gardens, working through rainy conditions as they prepare to face the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
Hill, who has been recovering from an oblique/calf injury, practiced and spoke with coach Mike McDaniel, and all indications are he will be ready for Week 1.
The attention Wednesday, however, centered on how well Tagovailoa and Hill have repaired their chemistry after Hill made critical comments at the end of last season.
“I say it’s good,” Tagovailoa told reporters. “I think for what it was earlier in the summer was just that, and I think people might have blown it out of proportion to where now I mean we’ve we’ve worked. We’ve worked on it and I think that conversation is dead now.”
“I think once, once people see Tyreek (Hill) score on Sunday, you know, everyone will forget about that, you know, so we’re in a good spot.”
Hill also downplayed the issue when asked about the dynamic.
When Hill was asked by Local 10’s Will Manso about his current relationship with Tagovailoa as the season begins, he said they’re “brothers for life, and sometimes brothers fight, but they know where they stand.”

The Dolphins will travel to Indianapolis later this week, with kickoff from Lucas Oil Stadium set for 1 p.m. on Sunday.
