MIAMI — The Miami Marlins clinched their sixth consecutive series with a 2-0 shutout of the New York Yankees on Saturday.
Rookie Agustín Ramírez homered twice for the only runs, launching a 421-foot fastball into the left‑center seats in the first inning and belting a two-strike sweeper over the wall in the fourth.
Eury Pérez tossed six scoreless innings, allowing just two hits, walking three and striking out six in an 88-pitch outing that included three brief PitchCom delays.
Pérez improved his record to 4-3 after the win.
Ronny Henríquez, Tyler Phillips and closer Calvin Faucher delivered perfect relief innings; Faucher earned his 11th save.
The Marlins will attempt to complete the sweep Sunday as the push for a National League wild‑card berth continues.
