MIAMI — The Miami Heat have filled their 14th spot on the roster.
Miami agreed to a deal with guard Dru Smith.
He suffered a season-ending injury on Dec. 23 after playing just 14 games.
Smith averaged 6.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists for the Heat.
Smith also averaged a team-leading 1.50 steals.
Miami made space on the roster for Smith by trading Haywood Highsmith to the Nets.
The Heat are now under the luxury tax.
