SUNRISE, Fla. — After a successful opening night to kick off the 2025–26 season – which included the raising of their second Stanley Cup championship banner to the rafters inside Amerant Bank Arena – the Florida Panthers (1-0-0) host the Philadelphia Flyers (0-0-0) for the second of a three-game homestand Thursday at 7 p.m. ET.

The Panthers got goals from A.J. Greer, Carter Verhaeghe and a clutch third-period goal from Jesper Boqvist in their 3-2 win against the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday.

Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky, in the final year of his contract, stopped 17 of 19 shots – including all attempts in a perfect third period.

The Flyers, in their first season with Rick Tocchet behind the bench, are looking to return to the postseason for the first time since the 2019-20 campaign.

Tocchet, 61, replaces John Tortorella, who was relieved of his coaching duties March 27.

The two teams will meet twice more this season, first in Philadelphia on Oct. 13, then in the final matchup on Nov. 26 in Sunrise.
