MIAMI — Originally scheduled for a 4:10 p.m. first pitch at loanDepot park on March 26, the Miami Marlins will move their 2026 Opening Day game against the Colorado Rockies to March 27 at 7:10 p.m. ET.

Following the game, there will be a postgame fireworks show.

The Marlins and Rockies will still play a three-game series, with the second game scheduled for Saturday at 4:10 p.m. ET and the series finale set for Sunday at 1:40 p.m. ET.

It will mark the first Friday night Opening Day game since the ballpark opened in 2012 and the first Marlins night game to start a season since 2016.

The two clubs will meet for the third time on Opening Day, with the Marlins winning 10-1 in 2014 and the Rockies winning 6-3 in 2019.

Manager Clayton McCullough will begin his second season with the Marlins after leading the franchise to a 17-win improvement from 2024 to 2025.
