On Monday, the Dolphins announced six people the team had requested permission to interview.

They are San Francisco 49ers VP of Player Personnel Tariq Ahmad, 49ers Assistant GM RJ Gillen, 49ers Director of Scouting and Football Operations Josh Williams, Green Bay Packers VP of Player Personnel Jon-Eric Sullivan, Philadelphia Eagles Assistant GM Alec Halaby and Los Angeles Rams Assistant GM John McKay.

Additionally, the Dolphins said they plan to interview the team’s Interim General Manager Champ Kelly, who was hired in 2025 as a senior personnel executive before being promoted to Interim GM in October following the firing of former GM Chris Greer.

Last season, the Dolphins finished 7-10 after starting the season with just two wins in their first nine games.

Miami hasn’t won a playoff game since the year 2000. They have made the playoffs five times in the 25 years since, losing in the Wild Card round each time.
