MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — It appears that the Miami Dolphins have found their new signal caller.

Former Green Bay Packers backup quarterback Malik Willis is joining the Miami Dolphins, ESPN’s Adam Schefter confirmed on Monday.

It comes after the team announced that they will release quarterback Tua Tagovailoa when the new league year begins.

Willis’ deal is for three years, $67.5 million with $45 million guaranteed, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

In 2025, Willis appeared in four games with Green Bay and completed just over 85% of his passes for 422 yards and three touchdowns. He also recorded 123 yards rushing on 22 carries and two touchdowns.

Willis, 26, was a former first round pick for the Tennessee Titans in the 2022 NFL Draft before being traded to Green Bay for a seventh-round pick.

The reported signing reunites Willis with Jeff Hafley, the Dolphins’ head coach, his former defensive coordinator in Green Bay.

Willis emerged as a sought-after free agent after stepping in for Jordan Love over the past two seasons and turning in several strong performances.
