MIAMI — As the Miami Heat continue to rack up victories, one of their key players was honored by the NBA after a solid showing over the past several days.

On Monday, Heat guard Tyler Herro was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the four games he played between March 2 and March 8.

During that span, Herro averaged 26.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists on 53.7% shooting, while also hitting 51.7% of his shots from beyond the arc and 94.7% of his free throws.

Perhaps more importantly, the Heat went a perfect 4-0 in those games. Herro led Miami in scoring in three of them.

It’s the second time in his career that Herro has been named Player of the Week.

Miami has won seven of the nine games since Herro returned from injury on Feb. 20.
