MIAMI — Inter Miami CF is coming off a successful road trip, beating both the Colorado Rapids and Real Salt Lake.
However, the Herons have yet to win a game at home this season, having played to 2-2 draws against both Austin FC and the New York Red Bulls.
The club looks to win its first home game in its brand-new stadium against Eastern Conference rival the New England Revolution on Saturday night.
Inter Miami sits in second place with 18 points, while New England is right behind with 15 points in third.
With a win, Inter Miami could jump into first place ahead of Nashville SC.
Saturday’s game will also be manager Angel Guillermo Hoyos’ first home match in charge since the departure of Javier Mascherano.
The Herons are projected to come out in a 3-4-3 formation, with Argentine star Lionel Messi playing up front alongside Germán Berterame and Luis Suárez.
In five home matches against New England, Miami has won four and lost one, with the most recent meeting a 4-1 victory for Miami.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
