MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — Argentina fans gathered outside the popular Manolo restaurant on North Beach Sunday to watch the World Cup.

Argentina would ultimately lose a tense game to Spain.

Universal pride was front and center, from blue and white jerseys to flags.

“I mean, you feel the energy,” fan Brian Livian said. “Everyone wants to win. Everyone wants a W.”

Over the past five weeks, the 2026 World Cup has put a spotlight on North America, including with games played at Hard Rock Stadium, temporarily dubbed Miami Stadium, attracting visitors from around the globe.

“I know that in Latin American countries, this is the biggest sport that exists,” fan Maria Hernandez said. “Here, it’s football, American football, but now it’s so exciting to see how America has really joined in this amazing football.”

Fans quickly filed out of the watch party after Argentina’s loss.
