WPLG’s partnership with ABC will end on Aug. 4.
We negotiated in good faith, asking only for a fair partnership with ABC -- a partnership that would allow us to continue to invest in our community through local journalism, local programming and community involvement.
However, the network did not make that possible.
ABC demanded we pay more, while receiving less value for the investment.
To you, our loyal viewers, I can assure you, the great TV station you’ve known and trusted is about to get even better.
Many TV stations across the country are cutting back on staffing and news programming.
We have done exactly the opposite. We are investing in local news, weather and sports, as well as locally produced programming.
Starting Aug. 4, you will be able to watch Local 10 News more than ever.
We will be live weekdays from 4:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., noon to 1 p.m., and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
We will have South Florida’s only 9 p.m. newscast and Local 10 News will also air at 10 p.m. and 11 p.m.
On the weekends, we will air news from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m., 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and from 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Sports Saturday and Sunday will air live at 9:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
Of course, “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy” will continue to air at 7 p.m. and “Live with Kelly and Mark” will air at 11 a.m.

Many members of the Local 10 family grew up in South Florida.
This is our home and we care about this community.
