There was road rage over the rainbow last week as the Florida Department of Transportation moved with uncharacteristic speed to paint over at least one rainbow crosswalk honoring victims of the mass murder at Pulse nightclub in Orlando.
The state sending cities all around Florida directives to eliminate the colors, to include Key West, Miami Beach, Delray Beach, Fort Lauderdale and St. Petersburg.
Last week in Orlando, the first act of defiance was seen as some people showed up with colored chalk and restored the rainbow colors back onto the crosswalk.
Two of those people, Dallas Perdue and Bubba Trahan, met on Thursday at the crosswalk in Orlando. They joined “This Week in South Florida” host Glenna Milberg to discuss, and their conversation can be seen at the top of this page.
