Jodanna Osceola, Mina Hosseini discuss charter schools using public school facilities on TWISF

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. — New rules from the Florida Board of Education allow private charter schools to move right in to public schools, with those schools forced to share all the facilities and services, with no compensation.

A group of parents wrote an op-ed for Florida Politics, describing chaos in their community from the attempted expansion.

Among them, Jodanna Osceola, founder of Sarasota Parents United, and Mina Hosseini, the executive director of the group PS 305 in Miami-Dade County.

They joined “This Week in South Florida” host Glenna Milberg to discuss, and their conversation can be seen at the top of this page.
