Florida House Speaker Danny Perez joins TWISF

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. — The push to ditch or at least decrease Floridians’ property taxes moved forward last week.

Florida lawmakers on the committee coming up with ways to do that voted along party lines to advance eight different plans, seven of which would have to go to voters next year.

Florida House Speaker Danny Perez, a Republican who represents part of Miami-Dade County, joined “This Week in South Florida” host Glenna Milberg to discuss, and their conversation can be seen at the top of this page.
