Healthy Gulf Executive Director Martha Collins joins TWISF

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. — Pushback came quick, strong and from across the political spectrum to the Trump administration’s plan last week for oil drilling off Florida’s coast.

Florida leaders have long opposed offshore drilling, even before and especially after the Deepwater Horizon disaster in 2010.

The first lawsuit against the drilling was filed within hours by Florida environmental groups, including Healthy Gulf.
