PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. — Last week, Key West learned nine city employees will have to lose their jobs.
They work in the city’s Park and Transit Departments and at the port, and their permission to work goes away with the end of their Temporary Protected Status in the U.S.
Without an extension, the city will end their employment on Jan. 18.
Key West District 2 Commissioner Sam Kaufman joined “This Week in South Florida” host Glenna Milberg to discuss and their conversation can be seen at the top of this page.
