State Sen. Barbara Sharief, State Rep. Hillary Cassel join TWISF

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. — There is less than a month until the start of the annual lawmaking session in Tallahassee.

The Florida League of Cities released a study last week forecasting the impacts of eliminating property taxes, which is being pushed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

A house committee is looking at plans to at least lower them.

State Sen. Barbara Sharief, a Democrat who represents parts of Broward County, and State Rep. Hillary Cassel, a Republican who also represents parts of Broward County, joined “This Week in South Florida” host Glenna Milberg to discuss, and their conversation can be seen at the top of this page.
