PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. — Colombian voters both at home and abroad, including here in South Florida, are deciding which political direction their country will turn and charting the course of relations with the United States.

Voting began Sunday in the presidential runoff election.

Iván Cepeda is the left-leaning senator from the same party as current, term-limited President Gustavo Petro.

Abelardo de la Espriella is the conservative, Trump-aligned candidate — a political newcomer who gained traction with voters as a law-and-order candidate.

Local 10 News reporters Cody Weddle and Jeff Derderian got reaction from voters both in Bogotá and here in South Florida, respectively.
