Historical marker honoring Black man killed by Miami-Dade police knocked down

A historical marker honoring Arthur Lee McDuffie, a 33-year-old Black man whose 1979 death at the hands of white Miami-Dade police officers sparked violent protests, has been knocked down near the Design District of the county’s Overtown area.
