A Hialeah teenager was sentenced Tuesday to 15 years in prison in connection with the April 2024 deaths of three women.

Sixteen-year-old Maykoll Santiesteban may not leave prison until well into his senior years after pleading guilty Friday to killing three women in a crash during an April 2024 joyride in Hialeah.

A third victim has died months after a Hialeah crash that already claimed the lives of two others. Police say a joyriding teenager was responsible.

Maykoll Santiesteban, 15, did not appear in court Thursday for a scheduled hearing after authorities said he caused a deadly crash while he was in his father’s car and out for a joyride in Hialeah last month.
