The accident occurred around 6:40 a.m. in the area of Northeast Sixth Avenue and 107th Terrace, near the entrance to Miami Country Day School. According to Zabaleta, a 27-year-old man was driving south on Northeast Sixth Avenue in a 2015 BMW 328i when he struck the joggers as they were trying to cross the street. Zabaleta said the man, who was proceeding through a green light at the time, remained at the scene. The crash is under investigation, and officers say it’s too soon to say whether speed was a factor.

Prichard declined to say what led to the dispute, but a man whose friend works at the 7-Eleven told Local 10 News it all started because of a cigar. "The safety and well-being of 7-Eleven franchisees and customers is of utmost importance," 7-Eleven said in a statement.

Mikey was recently forced out by another male and has been looking for a new place to live, according to the Dania Beach Vervet Project. The vervet monkey, also known simply as vervet, is native to Africa. FWC officials said people have been feeding a group of the wild monkeys that live in the Dania Beach area. Anyone with information about the whereabouts about the monkey seen near the strip club is asked to contact the North Miami Beach Police Department.
