A special South Florida holiday tradition continued on Monday.

More Broward County students are learning step-by-step instructions on cardiopulmonary resuscitation to help someone in a cardiac or breathing emergency.

Some deserving South Florida children received some hot new wheels to help them ride into the New Year.

The Rick Case Automotive Group in conjunction with “4EveryKid” program, donated hundreds of pairs of shoes to underserved area students Wednesday, through the Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) Homeless Education Assistance Resource Team (HEART).

More than a dozen children from the Boys and Girls Club of Broward County lined up at Rick Case Hyundai in Davie on Thursday to see their brand-new bicycles, thanks to generous donations from the South Florida community.

A tiny part is causing a huge problem in the auto industry. The parking lot at Sawgrass Ford of Sunrise used to be full of new F-150 pickup trucks. On Friday, it was mostly empty. AutoNation Toyota Weston was also low on inventory.

An Akron, Ohio native, Case was known as a catalyst in the automotive industry and had a passion for giving back to the community. This year marked the 59th in business for the Rick Case Automotive Group, which has 16 dealerships in Florida, Georgia and Ohio. “Rick had the most amazing mind for problem-solving,” Rita Case said in a statement. Memorial donations may be made in his honor supporting the Rick Case Educational Scholarship Fund, which benefits the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County.
