A city-pole-mounted surveillance camera recorded a video of Tangela Wright using a white Chevrolet Impala as a weapon, according to a Florida City police officer’s arrest report.

“The female victim advised that she and the defendant had an ongoing history of personal conflict,” the police officer wrote, according to the report. “She stated that they had been involved in multiple prior altercations and that the defendant had repeatedly attempted to initiate physical fights with her before.”

At 5:30 a.m., on May 9, Wright was driving the Chevrolet Impala westbound on Davis Parkway, according to the police report.

The surveillance video shows Wright “make only a minimal stop at the stop sign” at Sixth Avenue, according to the police report.

The video shows Wright “accelerate into the intersection as both victims were actively crossing within the marked crosswalk” and “striking the male victim, causing him to become airborne before landing on the roadway,” according to the report.

The man had to be hospitalized after he suffered fractured ribs and a neck injury, according to police officers.

A detective questioned Wright and arrested her at 12:55 p.m. on Thursday at the Florida City Police Department’s headquarters at City Hall at 404 West Palm Drive, according to the police report.

Correctional officers booked Wright shortly before 5:40 p.m. on Thursday at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center near Doral, according to Miami-Dade inmate records.

Prosecutors filed a case against Wright on Friday, and she faced charges of attempted felony murder with injury and attempted felony murder, according to Miami-Dade court records.

Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Laura Maria Gonzalez was set to preside over the case.
