Weather pattern begins to change

No description found

After several days of scattered tropical downpours, our weather pattern will start to change on Thursday.

We still have a shot of seeing wet weather, but rain chances are lower today at just 40%.

An area of low pressure associated with Invest 93L continues to move along the north-central Gulf coast, bringing the potential for flooding from the Florida Panhandle to Louisiana.

That same system continues to pull deep tropical moisture across the Florida Peninsula, but as it moves farther away from South Florida, it’s impact on our local weather will lessen.

Expect a mix of sunshine and clouds, with isolated thunderstorms possible throughout the morning and afternoon. Some showers and thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall, but the strongest activity will be west of I-95.

High temperatures across the region will be seasonable, topping out in the low 90s.

When you factor in the humidity, it will feel more like the low 100s. Breezy winds out of the east and southeast may help it feel a little more comfortable with gusts up to 25 mph.

Rain chances will continue to decrease as we head into Thursday night and Friday, with only a 20% chance of rain. Skies are expected to be mostly clear as we head into the weekend.
