A heat advisory is in effect for South Florida for a peak heat index higher than 105° at times. Eventually storms will cool us down. They will be hit or miss through the early evening so not everyone will get the rain. Some storms may be strong with frequent lightning and gusty winds. Even higher rain chances are on the way the next couple days. This will set up a stormy pattern Friday through the entire Labor Day weekend. Expect rounds of thunderstorms with dry breaks in between. It’s too far in advance to pin down the timing of any dry breaks, but include occasional rain and storms for any outdoor plans.
