Happy Labor Day weekend! Unfortunately, the weather will have a say in how much we get to enjoy outdoor activities and holiday barbecues over the next several days. A series of disturbances will move through South Florida, bringing mainly afternoon and evening showers and storms each day.
The best time to get outside will be in the morning, with storms expected to fire up mainly between 2-7 p.m., so plan accordingly. Some street flooding could occur under heavier downpours each afternoon.
Want some good news? Things are quiet in the tropics — for now. Try to enjoy the holiday weekend, but keep the umbrellas handy.
