Sept. 14: Gloomy evening clouds producing showers and storms

Gloomy evening clouds producing showers and storms will move out Sunday evening. Overnight lows will cool into the mid- to upper 70s.

Grab the rain gear again Monday. A few isolated showers will be possible during the morning commute across Miami-Dade. Additional showers and storms could develop by the afternoon.

The stationary boundary that brought much-needed rain to South Florida last week tracked southward over the weekend. That allowed slightly drier air to move in, limiting thunderstorm development. The boundary will eventually lift north by midweek. As moisture increases, storms are expected to return, bringing the potential for heavy rainfall. Isolated flooding cannot be ruled out starting Wednesday.
