It has been a much nicer start to the day with plenty of sunshine and dry weather. With the extra sun, highs will approach 90° this afternoon. After 2 p.m., expect a few pop up showers and thunderstorms. They will not be widespread so not everyone will get the rain. If you do, it won’t last very long. Much of this will fizzle out around sunset. A similar setup is on the way for the weekend with plenty of dry time. Tropical moisture will move back in for the first day of fall on Monday with higher storm chances.
