We’re getting some showers and thunderstorms to develop, but not as many as yesterday. Some will get the rain, others will miss out. One or two could linger into this evening but overall it looks good for any Friday night plans. There is a higher chance of afternoon storms on Saturday. We will be monitoring the progress of a tropical wave over eastern Cuba. This is likely to become a tropical storm as it moves into the Bahamas this weekend. The next name on the list is Imelda. It’s too uncertain to pin down the exact track so impacts to South Florida are not fully known, but the most likely scenario would keep tropical storm conditions in the Bahamas and just a gusty rain band or two sweeping through South Florida on Sunday. Monitor our tropical updates through the day today into the weekend for any shifts in the track that could change our Sunday forecast.
