Sept. 29: Tropical Storm Imelda swings some outer bands of rain through South Florida

Tropical Storm Imelda is slowly pulling north out of the Bahamas today. It is swinging some outer bands of rain through South Florida at times today. Most of the day will be sunny and dry, but expect a few quick moving showers. It will be slightly breezy with choppy offshore water as gusts near 20-25 mph. This will be the case through midweek.

By Thursday, Imelda will be jetting off to the east through the central Atlantic leaving behind a tail of moisture that will pivot over South Florida. This will work to increase our rain chances starting Thursday through the weekend. Some rain could be widespread and heavy at times.
