Nov. 8: Highs will be close to record levels today

Welcome back to summer -- at least temporarily. Highs will be close to record levels today, and tomorrow will be closing in on 90 degrees for most of us, remarkable for early November.

But what goes up must come down, as they say, and a strong cold front will knock us back into the 40s and 50s by Tuesday morning.

We have about a 20% chance for some scattered late-day T-storms, but most of the weekend will be dry.

Most of next week looks dry as well, with no big storms in sight. Get ready to trade those weekend shorts and flip flops in for sweaters and jackets in just a couple of days.
