It’s Black Friday, but it’s also a partly sunny and cooler Friday! The cold front that swept through on Thanksgiving Day with heavy showers and storms is now well off the coast, and gusty north winds and cooler temperatures have arrived. Skies will vary between cloudy and partly sunny today, but overall good shopping weather is expected, with no rain and highs only in the mid-70s.
Moisture will begin moving back in tomorrow, but the best chance for showers returning to SoFlo appears to be on Sunday as we wrap up our holiday weekend. After today’s cool temperatures, the winds will shift to the east, allowing milder ocean air to move in for the rest of the weekend.
The rip current risk is very high, and there’s a high surf advisory in effect today, so if you’re heading to the beach, stay out of the water.
