South Florida will be feeling record heat this afternoon. A switch in our wind direction from the Everglades will allow temperatures to reach several degrees warmer than yesterday. Highs will peak around 86°, which is the record for Miami today. A stray light shower is possible late today but many will stay dry with rain chances no higher than 20%.

A weak front will stall out near the Florida Keys tomorrow mornings so temperatures will come back down to the low 80s with slightly lower humidity, but no major cooldown. We will be back near record highs again by the weekend.
