Southwest winds are set to promote record warmth across South Florida on Sunday, with a high near 86 degrees. If we reach that mark, Miami will tie the record of 86 set in 1978.
This warmth will occur ahead of the next cold front. This front is expected to bring a bit more rain than the previous one. A few passing showers can’t be ruled out late Sunday, with a better chance of rain on Monday. Monday will remain warm, with highs in the mid-80s. The front will drop temperatures closer to normal — into the 70s — by Tuesday.
