It’s going to be a warm Christmas, with highs reaching 80 degrees for the first time in four years. Expect a stray shower or two moving in off the water. Any showers will be light and fast-moving, so they should not interrupt outdoor plans for long. That low rain chance ends Friday and continues through the weekend as a large area of high pressure moves overhead, bringing calm winds and completely dry weather for several days.
The next cold front approaches South Florida on Tuesday. A quick line of showers is expected along the leading edge, but the bigger story will be the cooler air. Highs will drop to the low 70s, with lows in the 50s. This cooler weather will stick around into the New Year.
