The warm and pleasant weather pattern across South Florida will stick around the weekend. High pressure over the Gulf will stay in place, keeping winds light from the north and continuing to bring in very dry air. That dry air will limit rain chances for most areas.
Temperatures will run a little warmer than average, but it will not be unusually hot. Afternoon highs will reach the upper 70s to low 80s, while morning lows dip into the mid-50s inland and low to mid-60s along the east coast — comfortable, quiet weather for late December. Our next cold front moves through on Tuesday, bringing chilly temperatures to South Florida by New Year’s Eve.
