March 8: Warm, breezy Sunday

High pressure over the Atlantic will keep a steady east breeze across South Florida through Sunday and Monday. That easterly wind flow will bring occasional coastal showers to Miami-Dade and Broward, mainly during the overnight and early morning hours. During the afternoon, the East Coast metros will remain mostly dry with just a few passing clouds.

Temperatures will stay above normal, with highs in the low to mid-80s near the coast. Temperatures may be slightly warmer for some inland spots, topping out in the upper 80s to around 90 degrees. Overnight lows will remain warm in the 70s. Mostly dry weather continues through Wednesday before a weak front brings a small increase in rain chances late Thursday into Friday. Rainfall totals look light, with only a slight cool down expected afterward.
