April 6: Scattered showers today; rain chances increase overnight

A stalled front stretching across Central Florida will keep South Florida in an unsettled weather pattern for the next few days. Expect scattered showers today, with rain chances increasing overnight, especially inland. By Tuesday and Wednesday, rain chances increase significantly across the East Coast metros, where repeated rounds of showers and thunderstorms could bring localized urban flooding.

At the same time, winds will strengthen out of the northeast, becoming breezy Tuesday before turning windy Wednesday.

Rainfall totals could reach 4 to 6 inches across Broward County, 2 to 4 inches across Miami-Dade, and up to 1 inch across the Florida Keys through Friday.
