May 26: Heat indices near 100 degrees as tropical moisture builds in South Florida

Good Tuesday morning. It’s back to work and school with a few showers in the breeze. Winds will continue to gust from the southeast, helping warm temperatures into the upper 80s, with heat indices reaching near 100 degrees. There is another day of advisories for beachgoers and boaters. Looking ahead, models are showing deep tropical moisture moving in for the end of the week. As rain chances increase, heavy downpours and localized flooding could be possible.
