Aug. 30: Active weather pattern brings more rain this week

Keep the rain gear handy. Our active weather pattern is here to stay.

Late afternoon storms are on the move, with drier weather moving in tonight. Temperatures will cool to the upper 70s and lower 80s.

Get ready for another round of soaking rain Monday. With a ton of tropical moisture in place, sea breeze showers and storms could bring rounds of heavy rain that could cause flooding.

This weather pattern will be extremely beneficial for our region. We will watch for showers to develop each day as tropical moisture moves in, with remnants from former Tropical Storm Dolly set to arrive by the end of the week.

All this rain and cloud cover could cool our atmosphere. Highs could reach the upper 80s to lower 90s this week.
