Sept. 17: Scattered storms expected across South Florida, some could be strong to severe

Good Thursday morning! Grab your rain gear as we will see some showers by the Keys, Broward and Miami-Dade counties this morning. Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected again. This afternoon some storms could be strong to low end severe. The winds will increase providing for a moderate risk of rip currents for beachgoers and small craft caution for boaters. There will be breaks in the storms for highs to reach the lower 90s. Please remember: “When thunder roars go indoors.”
