McDaniel shrugs off viral drive-by video outside Elbo Room as Dolphins celebrate win over Bills

McDaniel jokes about viral ‘drive-by’ clip after Dolphins’ win over Bills

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel drew laughs and attention Monday after a video circulated online appearing to show him driving past Elbo Room in Fort Lauderdale, which was filled with Buffalo Bills fans following his team’s 30-13 win.

When asked about the clip, McDaniel made a joke of it.

“That’s why I like the good old days, you know, the throwbacks of yore where you could trust, you know, the internet and the images because, you know, it is pretty detailed that, you know, I do live in that area,” he said. “But I mean, AI, right? I mean, AI is real. It’s what I got for you. Well, for the record, I did not answer it. That’s the punchline of the humor.”

The viral moment came on the same day Dolphins players celebrated one of their most complete wins of the season.

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa threw a deep touchdown pass to Jaylen Waddle in the second quarter, and running back De’Von Achane scored two long touchdowns in the fourth, which helped seal the victory for Miami.

Miami’s defense also forced three turnovers, recorded three sacks and held Buffalo to a a season-low in points scored.

Inside the locker room on Sunday, players danced, pushed laundry bins and even breakdanced as they marked the team’s third win of the season.

The Dolphins (3-7) are now preparing for their first-ever international NFL game, set for next Sunday at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, Spain, where they will face the Washington Commanders (3-7).
