PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – Be Strong International, a leading non-profit organization, is hosting monthly food distributions in the Goulds area of southwest Miami-Dade County.

“It is so important to us at Be Strong International to provide families that may be hungry with the food they need to nourish themselves, particularly during these difficult and challenging times,” said Michelle Shirley, CEO of Be Strong International. “We cannot expect families to focus on bettering themselves mentally, emotionally, and spiritually if they don’t have their basic needs met.”

In collaboration with Farm Share, Be Strong International will provide free packages of food that include dairy, protein, canned goods, and other items. The food distributions are also made possible with the support of the Office of Commissioner Kionne McGhee, District 9, Project Peace, and Miami Dade County.

The next food drive will be from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., on March 10, at JL (Joe) and Enid W. Demps Park (Goulds Park), 11350 SW 216 St. in Miami.

The organization is also seeking volunteers to join the effort. To register, visit https://link.bestrongintl.org/widget/form/qptp8Tcw0dFjzty4uvMw. To find out more about Be Strong International, visit https://bestrongintl.org.
