BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – Earlier this month, The Salvation Army of Broward County hosted its inaugural Red Shield Regatta at JM Family Enterprises’ “The Park.”

Participants enjoyed an outdoor, nautical-themed evening with live entertainment, gourmet bites and more.

A silent auction raised critical funds, along with a memorable motorized mini sailboat regatta, which pitted event sponsors against each other.

Media personalities, including Local 10 Anchor Nicole Perez and Reporter Roy Ramos, were on hand and also participated in the regatta.

The Salvation Army of Broward County operates shelters and housing programs, a weekly food distribution, substance abuse programs and other services to assist with poverty and homelessness.
